Manang becoming a attractive tourist destination in country

KATHMANDU, August 6: Each year, thousands of tourists visit the himalayan region of Manang region to get a glimpse of the surrounding mountains and lakes. Tourists arrive in Manang, fascinated by the high hills, waterfalls, and surrounding valleys.

Tourists are welcomed by the clear waterfall in Talbasti on the very first day including the Kajinsara Lake, Drona Lake, Gangapurna Lake, Green Lake, Dhukur Pokhari, Ice Lake, Ponkar Lake, and Tilicho Lake etctrea which are also found along the hiking trails as their journey progresses. 

According to Lokendra Bahadur Ghale, chairman of Chame Rural Municipality, the beautiful attractions around the region are what attract tourists to the region. "Tourists who come here say that they are especially attracted by lakes, snow ranges, and waterfalls. We are trying to make them accessible for visitors so they can enjoy the lakes, waterfalls and appealing destinations here," he said.

He also said that the municipality is engaged in the development and construction of easy access to waterfalls and nearby lakes. "We have allocated a budget for the search for new lakes, the construction of infrastructure in the existing lakes, and are committed to protecting the treasure the region has to offer," he added. The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) which also includes Taltalaiya here is also assisting in the preservation and promotion of tourist destinations across the region. Along with the rural municipality, ACAP has placed various signs on the road leading to the lake.
