PADT to review and negotiate the rent of Pashupati Dharamshala in 15 days

KATHMANDU, August 2: A meeting of Pashupati Area Development Trust and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has decided to set a deadline of 15 days to review and negotiate the rent of Pashupati Dharamshala, which is being used by Marwadi Sewa Samaj.

Marwadi Seva Samaj has been using nine ropanis of land belonging to the trust in Gaushala since May 3, 2003, for a price of Rs 51,000 per annum. The trust has announced a deadline of 15 days to re-evaluate the rent and make new arrangements.

Earlier, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and the Supreme Court had also decided that the rent should be renewed. However, under various pretexts, the Marwadi Sewa Samaj has been hesitant to implement the said decision.
