KATHMANDU, July 30: A total of 205 works of art of 66 various Nepali artists will be exhibited in 'Bihar Museum Biennale 2023', which will be held in Bihar, India from August 7.

A single gallery covering 4,000 square feet will be provided to Nepal for this art exhibition for free of cost. Nepal Investment Mega Bank and Yeti Airlines will also provide assistance of around Rs 500,000 for the same.

According to the Nepal Art Council, this scheduled exhibition, which is going to be held outside the country, is the biggest platform for Nepali artists so far.

"This is the first time we have been able to hold an exhibition of this level," said Prithvi Bahadur Pandey, treasurer of the council and president of Nepal Investment Mega Bank.

In March 2019, Nepal held an exhibition at the Weltmuseum Wien in Vienna. At that time, about 100 artworks by 25 artists were exhibited.

The Council is also preparing to make a 16 feet Ashtamangala Mandala in the gallery to be acquired for Nepal in the Bihar Museum. Paintings, wood and metal engraved art materials will also be displayed in the exhibition.

This is the second edition of 'Bihar Museum Biennale 2023.' Artists from 28 countries will be participating in the event.
