New aircrafts will be purchased soon: Minister Kirati

KATHMANDU, July 30: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati has announced that a new aircraft carrying the Nepali flag will be purchased very soon.

Speaking at a press meeting held at Birtamode on Sunday, Minister Kirati said that the development of the aviation sector is important for the prosperity of a landlocked nation, which is why new aircraft are being procured.

"Aircraft are important for the prosperity of a landlocked country like ours", he said, "three new and two old ships are in the process of procurement and will arrive soon without any room for commission," he said.

Through an established connection flights from our own aircraft, we will also be able to export our production to other countries, he said adding that the corruption is also being flushed out following his appointment to the post.
