29,000 tourists visited Myagdi in FY 2022/23

KATHMANDU, July 26: ​​​​​​Around 29,000 tourists visited Myagdi in the last fiscal year of 2022/23, a significant increase compared to the arrival of just 7,926 tourists in FY 2021/22. 

According to the data maintained by the District Police Office of Myagdi, the number of tourists entering Myagdi in the last financial year was 22,021.

As per the data, more than 80 percent of the tourists visiting the region choose to hike to Ghorepani and Poon Hill. 

However, the arrivals are still low compared to when 50,000 foreign tourists visited Myagdi in 2018/19, 75,191 in 2017/18, 74,733 in 2016/17, and 69,837 visited the region in 2015/16.
