Norwegian Woman Climber Kristin Harila And Tenjen Sherpa scale Gasherbrum-I

KATHMANDU, July 18:Norwegian woman climber Kristin Harila along with Sherpa guide Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa has successfully climbed Gasherbrum-I this morning. They completed twelve mountains over 8,000m. 
According to Seven Summit Treks (expedition company) Kristin along with Sherpa guide reached the Gasherbrum-I today at around 5:10 am (Pakistan time). Kristin climbed Gasherbrum-I with sherpa guide Tenjen sherpa and Ming Temba sherpa. Earlier, Kristin and Tenjen climbed Gasherbrum-II on July 15.

Harila and Tenjen are in a mission to climb all 14 peaks  within four months, to complete 14 peaks yet to climb two mountains. Harila had previously climbed 14 peaks in one year and five days and became the first  female climber to climb all the 14 peaks as a fastest women.


Harila and sherpa have successfully climbed Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, Shishipangma, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum-II, Gasherbrum-I and now  K2, Broad Peak in Pakistan are yet to be climbed.
