Kristin Harila and Tenjen Sherpa Ascent Gasherbrum II

KATHMANDU, July 15:Norwegian woman climber Kristin Harila along with Nepali Sherpa guide Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa has successfully completed eleven mountains over 8,000m, as they stood atop Gasherbrum-II this morning.

According to Seven Summit Treks (expedition company) Kristin along with Sherpa climbers reached the Gasherbrum-II summit today at around 7:45 am (Pakistan time).


Earlier, Kristin and Tenjen climbed Nanga Exped on June 26.

Harila and Tenjen are in a mission to climb all 14 peaks  within four months, to complete 14 peaks yet to climb three of them. Harila had previously climbed 14 peaks in one year and five days and became the first  female climber to climb all the 14 peaks as a fastest women.

Harila and sherpa have successfully climbed Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, Shishipangma, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum-II, now  K2,  Gasherbrum-1, Broad Peak in Pakistan are yet to be climbed.
