Manang Air helicopter goes missing

KATHMANDU, July 11:Manang Air's callsign 'NA-MV' helicopter flying from Solukhumbu* to Kathmandu has lost contact.

According to Teknath Sitaula, a spokesperson for Tribhuvan Airport, the helicopter that took off from Surke in Solukhumbu at 10 a.m. lost communication at 10:30 a.m.

"The helicopter that was supposed to arrive in Kathmandu at 11:00 is still out of contact," Sitaula said.

The helicopter is carrying five foreign nationals. The pilot of the helicopter is Nepali.
