CNI emphasized direct air connectivity between Nepal and Pakistan

KATHMANDU:The Nepal Industry Confederation emphasized the importance of direct air connectivity between Nepal and Pakistan. The president of the CNI, Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, underlined the importance of direct air travel link between Nepal and Pakistan during a meeting and conversation with Pakistan's Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, on Friday.

Chairman Agarwal stated that direct air connectivity between the two countries will be beneficial to the tourism industry. Agarwal informed Ambassador Hashmi that the CNI is working with the government and other relevant entities to promote the country's overall economic development and prosperity.


CNI President Agarwal emphasized the importance of reducing the trade deficit with Pakistan through tourism, tea, coffee, and other ways and tourism activities. He has asked Ambassador Hashmi to give the necessary support and cooperation.

Ambassador Hashmi stated that he is committed to providing the required cooperation and support in order to enhance Nepali exports to Pakistan. He mentioned the possibilities of selling Nepalese tea because Pakistan has a good tea market. He stated that Pakistani visitors would choose to visit Nepal and proposed digital payment agreements between the two countries.
