Air fare slashed

KATHMANDU, July 04:Domestic air fares have been reduce as of Wednesday, July 5.

The decrease in fuel prices by Nepal Oil Corporation has resulted in lower air fares.

According to Civil Aviation Authority, the air fare has been reduced from a minimum of 60 rupees to a maximum of 750 rupees for domestic flights. 

After the Nepal Oil Corporation reduced the price of aviation fuel by 14 rupees per liter, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) instructed the involved airlines to reduce fares  starting Wednesday.

The price of aviation fuel, which was formerly Rs 150 per litre, has now stayed constant at Rs 136 per litre. This represents a 9.3 percent decrease.

In addition, the Kathmandu-Bhadrapur fare has been reduced by 420 rupees. Similarly, the existing Kathmandu-Bhairahawa fare has been reduce by 285 rupees.

Mountain Flight 485, Bhadrapur 420, Biratnagar 335, Janakpur 180, Bharatpur 150, Pokhara 225, Bhairahawa 285, Nepalgunj 455, Tumlingtar 260, and Simara flights from Kathmandu have all been lowered by 125 rupees.

 

The program included other school teachers, students, parents, and bank staff. The bank has stated that similar charitable initiatives will be carried out in the future with the coordination and participation of all parties.
