Nearly 500,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in six months

KATHMANDU, July 02:Nearly 500,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the past six months (January to June).

According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), 4,76,507 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the past six months of 2023 (January to June).

72,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the month of June 2023.

According to data from the NTB, 72,220 tourists arrived in Nepal by air and land in June.

The month of June recorded the highest number of Indian visitors to Nepal.

According to the NTB, 38,845 Indian tourists have entered the country. Similarly, 8,470 visitors arrived from the United States, 4,343 from China, 1,992 from the United Kingdom, and 1,639 from Australia.

According to the data, 55,074 tourists arrived in January, 73,255 arrived in February, 99,426 arrived in March, 98,773 arrived in April, and 72,730 arrived in May.
