Minister Kirati's dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Tourism's budget

KATHMANDU, June 27:Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the ministerial budget for the coming fiscal year.

Minister Kirati expressed his disappointment at the House of Representatives meeting on Monday that the budget was 45 percent less than what was proposed.

As a result, Minister Kirati said us that several plans had been missed. 

He also apologized to the House, stating that the demands of the legislators were written down and given to the relevant ministries, but could not be met owing to a lack of funds.

He stated that an increasing number of programs have been added to be carried out around the country despite a limited budget.

Similarly, taking into account regional balance, the budget has been structured to improve tourism infrastructure by focusing on the most important cultural, religious, and tourism areas in each province, he said.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has been allotted 11.96 billion dollars by the government.
