Nijgadh International Airport not necessary: MP Singh

KATHMANDU, June 26: Independent MP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh has demanded not to bring the program without a master plan and strategic plan for tourism development.

In meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Singh, while participating in the discussion and presenting a proposal for budget reduction under the heading of Appropriation Bill, 2023, said that there is no reason to build the Nijgadh International Airport when the two new international airports that are currently being built are not fully operational.

He commented that the Planning Commission has proved to be a ritualist, emphasizing that there should be short-term, medium-term and long-term planning and asked for the creation of a planning bank.
