Wyndham Hotel by Ramada' opens hotel in Itahari

KATHMANDU, June 26: Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, an American hotel chain, will open a hotel in Itahari. Deshbandhu Basnet, Chairman of the Tourism and Air Transport Committee (FNCCI) and member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI)'s working committee, introduced this brand in Itahari.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has a portfolio of more than 8,900 hotels and 24 brands in 95 countries. Ramada is one of the midscale brands of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts with more than 850 hotels in more than 60 countries.

Grand Central Hotel Private Limited, Located in Itahari, Nepal, inked a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in New Delhi on Friday to open a 'Ramada by Wyndham Hotel' in Itahari. The hotel will be ready in 2024.  It is said to be located near many business centers and commercial establishments in Nepal.

The hotel will feature appealing dining options as well as well-equipped rooms for business and leisure guests. It will feature 80 rooms, all-day dining, a lobby lounge and delicatessen, a terrace bar, a health club and spa, conference and event halls, and an outdoor swimming pool with a children's area.

Desh Bandhu Basnet, Chairman of of Grand Central Hotel, a subsidiary of AB Holding and Nikhil Sharma, Market Managing Director Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts signed the deal.



Basnet stated that bringing a world-class brand to Itahari is a source of pride for him. This has provided visitors to Nepal's eastern area with the option to obtain world-class hospitality services.

Similarly, Sharma stated that the arrangement will significantly aid in the growth of Nepal's tourism and that the Ramada of Wyndham will deliver world-class service as well as traditional Nepali hospitality to Itahari's guests. The hotel is expected to offer all of the amenities of a five-star hotel, including a gym, spa, and swimming pool.
