Airfare reduced on domestic flights

KATHMANDU, June 22:Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of aviation fuel as well as the air ticket. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the new fare will go into force on Wednesday.

The CAAN has cut the fee from Rs 90 in Simara, a small distance from Kathmandu, to Rs 445 in Dhangadhi, a long distance away. On Tuesday, the corporation had reduced domestic aviation fuel by Rs 10 per liter. The NOC has decreased the cost of aviation gasoline by 6.3%.

According to the CAAN, a 'fuel surcharge' of Rs 79.79 per seat per minute is levied. As a result, the fuel cost is only 6,625 while flying from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi.

The flight time from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi is predicted to be 83.09 minutes. The fare on the mountain flight from Kathmandu will be cut by 340 rupees, 300 rupees on Bhadrapur, 240 rupees on Biratnagar, 125 rupees on Janakpur, 160 rupees on Pokhara, 325 rupees on Nepalgunj, and 210 rupees on Bhairahawa.
