Jaau hida Resunga Campaign' to promote tourism
KATHMANDU, June 06:Resunga Municipality of Gulmi has started the 'Jaau hida Resunga' campaign.
Khildhoj Panthi, Mayor of Resunga Municipality, said that this campaign was launched to promote the tourism of Resunga, the main religious tourist site of the district, and other places.
He said that such a campaign was launched to create an environment for more tourists to come by expanding the tourist infrastructure of Resunga. According to Panthi, this will help the local business as well as job growth.
Under this campaign, the target of the municipality is to reach one lakh domestic and out-of-district tourists in the next fiscal year 2023/24.
It is said that regular flights to Resunga Airport will help in the campaign.
Mayor Panthi has said that this campaign has been launched as a program to connect Gulmi with tourism at the national and international level.
It is also expected to be an attractive area for tourists due to religious, biological and natural reasons. From the religious point of view, it is known as the region where Lord Ramachandra attained siddhi from the Treta Yuga.
According to Panthi, the importance of this area has increased due to the presence of hundreds of birds, including the 'Kande Bhyakur' bird, which is found only in Nepal, as well as hundreds of herbs and blooming laliguras.
