Number of visitors to Ratna Mandir increased

POKHARA, June 05:One and a half lakh rupees were collected from Pokhara's Ratna Mandir, which was reopened to the general public and tourists after a decade and a half of closure.

The Ratna Mandir, which opened to the public on May 29th of last year, has seen an upsurge in the number of domestic and foreign tourists, according to the Ministry of Tourism. Ratna Mandir, named after Nepal Trust, charges a price of 100 rupees for domestic tourists and 1000 rupees for foreign tourists to enter.

Similarly, a charge of 50 rupees and 10,000 rupees per hour for professional filming has been set for senior persons and students, respectively.

It is expected that with the opening of the Ratna Mandir, more support would be given to the development of history and tourism.

When members of the immediate royal family visited Pokhara, they stayed at the Ratna Mandir, which King Mahendra built in honor of his wife Ratnarajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
