Ministry of Tourism taken action against an employee of NAC accused  of stopped passengers at airport

KATHMANDU, June 03:The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has taken action against a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) employee who prevented passengers from boarding the plane after purchasing tickets at the airport. 


According to the MoCTCA, Thakur Singh Bhandari, who had bought a NAC ticket for the Kathmandu-Taplejung flight and got his boarding pass on Wednesday, was turned away by the airline staff.

Tourism Minister Sudan Kirati said that Gagan Bahadur Chand, the in-charge of Kathmandu, had taken action and transferred Taplejung for stopping passengers.

'There was a complaint concerning the occurrence of elderly Thakursingh Bhandari being returned home from the airport since his name was not in the system,' Minister Kirati posted on Facebook. We transferred the in-charge Chand from Kathmandu to Taplejung Airport after he failed to provide a good response when questioned. 'Further inquiry is underway.'
