Govt allocates Rs 11.96 billion for Tourism Sector

KATHMANDU, May 30:The government has allocated Rs 11.96 billion for the tourism sector in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Dr. Prakasharan Mahat, Finance Minister, announced the budget for fiscal year 2023/24, stating that tourism has been prioritized.

In the current fiscal year, the tourist sector has been assigned a budget of 9.38 billion rupees.

The budget for the next fiscal year has been increased by approximately 1.5 billion rupees. The government has set a goal of 1 million visitors by 2023.
