Nijgadh International Airport construction announced to start soon

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has announced that Nijgadh International Airport will be built as an alternative to Tribhuvan Airport. Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat stated that funds have been set aside for the early planning of this project.

He stated that preliminary work, including as environmental impact assessments and land purchase, might be completed this year. The budget states that the investment mode will be finalized and construction work will begin soon.
