Mountaineer Kamirita receives grand welcome in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, May 25`:Kamirita Sherpa has returned to Kathmandu after completing the 28th ascent of Mount Everest.
At the Kathmandu airport, he was grand welcome.
Kamirita, who returned to Kathmandu on Thursday after successfully climbing Mount Everest, was greeted warmly.
By climbing Everest again, he has broken his own record.
He previously held the record for ascending Mount Everest for the 27th time.
Pasang Dawa Sherpa shattered his record on Monday morning. Kamirita returned to the summit of Mount Everest after breaking his world record.
Sherpa, who was born in Thame village in Solukhumbu, is now 53 years old. Kamirita was 24 years old when he made his first ascent of Mount Everest.
