KATHMANDU, May 10:A total of 467 climbers from 44 climbing groups have teken permission to ascend Mount Everest.

According to Bigyan Koirala, Officer of the Mountaineering Branch of deparment of tourism that the climbers who have taken permission to climb Mount Everest have almost arrived and are in the process of taking some permission till Wednesday. The climbers who have been granted permission are currently waiting to ascend Mount Everest's base camp and second camp.

The South Col (fourth camp) of Everest has been prepared for climbing by skilled Icefall Doctor. At Mount Everest's summit, the rope is hung, and climbing then begins.

Despite the fact that the trail to Everest's fourth camp opened on April 23 owing to bad weather, it is challenging for the icefall doctor to reach the summit. They have spent more than a week in the base camp.

Strong winds were blowing in the area over 7,500 meters of Everest, according to "Imagine Nepal Trek and Expedition Company," which is in charge of constructing the road above the second camp of Everest, therefore further ascending was not possible.

The Everest Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) constructed a road leading to Everest's second camp. On April 23, the route leading to Everest's South Col was made public.

A total of 1,123 climbers, including 254 women and 869 men, from 126 mountaineering groups, including Mount Everest, have teken permission for spring climbing, according to the deparment.
