Priority to be given in the upcoming budget to air traffic safety and airport modernization : Mahat, Finance Minister

KATHMANDU, May 08: Dr. Prakasharan Mahat, Finance Minister, stated that air traffic safety and airport upgrades will be priority in the budget.

In presenting the 'principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2023/24' in the budget session that began on Sunday, he stated that air traffic safety and airport upgrades will be prioritized.

He also stated that incentive schemes will be implemented to help the tourism sector, which is recovering from the Corona pandemic.

Arrangements will be made to provide travelers with safe tourist service facilities. "We will promote tourism by developing important religious, historical, and cultural sites," he stated.

He stated that investments in tourism infrastructure will be made, and budget will be allocated to diversify the tourism sector by expanding new tourist sites.
