CAAN bans all helicopter flights of Simrik Air

KATHMANDU, May 08:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has banned all helicopter flights of Simrik Air.

This ban was imposed after Simrik's helicopter crashed in the Bhotkhola Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district on Friday.

After the helicopter crashed during the transportation of goods, the flight of Simrik's helicopter was stopped until the other aircrafts were checked.

The CAAN has started an investigation into whether or not Simrik followed the air safety standards during the flight.
