Buddha's birth in Nepal opened up unlimited of possibilities for tourism: PM Dahal

LUMBINI, May 05:Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, stated that the birth of Buddha not only made Nepal famous around the world, but it also created limitless opportunities for religious tourism.

The Prime Minister stated in a program organized in Lumbini on the occasion of the 2567th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day 2080 that it is difficult to measure Lumbini's potential as a sacred place that more than four billion Buddhist communities around the world must visit once in their lifetime.

He claims that, while having a lot of potential, the government's shortcoming is not being able to use it. The Prime Minister assured that the current government will take this information to heart and continue the effort.

He stated that the administration is ready to begin the Greater Lumbini Master Plan for sustainable development by safeguarding the area's historical heritages.
