Two injured in simirk Air helicopter crash

KATHMANDU, May 05: A helicopter crashed in Sankhuwasabha, injuring two people, including the captain.

Captain and local Bhabin Gurung were both critically injured in the crash. They were rescued by a Nepalese army squad and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Chhiring Bhote, who was in the helicopter, is safe, according to Bikas Tamang, the ward chairman of Bhotkhola rural municipality ward number 4.

Ward chairman Tamang stated that a helicopter crashed in Siprung, Ward No. 4 of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, while the goods of Upper Arun Hydro Power were being transported from Gola to Siprung.

Tamang, who was present at the scene, stated that the disaster occurred when the helicopter's fan collided with the mountain. At the event location, the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and local villagers are conducting rescue operations.
