Buddha Air added ATR-72 aircraft

KATHMANDU, April 29:Buddha Air, a private sector air service provider company, has added a new aircraft to its fleet. The company brought in the 15th ATR-72 aircraft on Friday.

According to a company statement, the 72-seater aircraft was brought in because the operation expenses will be lower when flying from a larger aircraft, and the fee will naturally be lower.

Along with this, Buddha Air's aircraft number has reached 15. Of these, there are 12th  ATR-72 and 3 ATR-42 aircraft. Buddha's two beachcraft had already been sold to a Canadian company. 

According to Dipendra Kumar Karna, Buddha Air's information officer, the new aircraft will begin commercial flights within a month after completing the relevant documentation. 

After the addition of new aircraft, the company plans to add one flight to Dhangadhi and Surkhet destinations, which currently have two daily flights. Similarly, preparations are being made for ATR-72 aircraft to take off from Tumlingtar in Sankhuwasabha.  According to the company, one more new aircraft will be added on June 15.
