CAAN bans taking photos and videos in restricted airport areas without permission

KATHMANDU, April 27:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prohibited taking any type of photo or video without permission in the airport's restricted area.

Last week, the CAAN wrote to all Civil Aviation Offices, requesting that they aggressively enforce this prohibition. According to the aviation security order issued by the authority, "the CAAN, aircraft operating organization, employees affiliated with other agencies working at the airport, and the general public will be completely prohibited from taking any kind of pictures and videography in the restricted area of the airport without permission."

In recent years, shooting photographs and videos in sensitive places such as restricted airport areas, aircraft cockpits, and other sensitive areas such as flight safety and air safety and publishing such information to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter has become popular.
