Kailash Mansarovar yatra permission for non-Indians

KATHMANDU, April 27:The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is opened  to non-Indian pilgrims and trekkers. China removed the restriction on Westerners entering Tibet this year because to the covid-19, and the Kailash Yatra began. The Chinese government has allowed Kailash pilgrims to go only through Tibet's capital Lhasa and Nepal's Kerung pass.

A group of non-Indian pilgrims and hikers is getting ready to go on the Kailash Yatra next week. According to a Nepali travel operator for the Kailash Yatra, the Indian pilgrims have been financially impacted.

"Permits for foreign visitors to Kailash have begun to be obtained." "A team will leave Nepal for Kailash next week," said Jitendra Basnet, head of the Association of Kailash Tour Operators, a group of tourism professionals who visit Kailash. "Due to political differences between India and China, China has refused permission (permit) to Indian travelers." Both nations have refused to provide tourist visas to each other's nationals, which has harmed our tourism industry.

According to related sources, Chinese officials from Lhasa visited Kathmandu last week to look into the Kailash Yatra. The officer named Lee had a discussion with the tour operator who was conducting the Kailash Yatra. India has blocked tourist visas for Chinese citizens. They said that we will not allow Indians to go to Kailash unless India makes it easy," said a Nepali tour operator who participated in the meeting with them.
