Govt issues 463 Mount Everest climbing permits

KATHMANDU, April 26:This spring season, More than 400 climbers have taken permission to climb Mount Everest. According to the department of tourism, 463 climbers from 42 climbing groups have taken permission to climb Mt Everest.

According to Bigyan Koirala, official of the Mountaineering Branch, two or three Nepalis and a few foreigners are now awaiting clearance to climb Mount Everest. The government anticipates that around 470 climbers will obtain permits this spring.

Climbers who have obtained permission are now waiting to climb the base camp and the second camp of Mt Everest. A climbing route has been construction to Everest's fourth camp by the Icefall doctors.

The climb begins after hanging rope at the summit of Mt Everest.The government has received 737.4 million dollars in income from the Everest climbing permit alone.
