Pokhara tourism entrepreneur urges China for direct flights from Pokhara to China

KATHMANDU, April 25:Pokhara tourism entrepreneur have urged the Chinese ambassador to provide direct flights from Pokhara International Airport to  various cities in China. On Tuesday, a team led by Pomnarayan Shrestha, chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council, met with Chen Song, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and urged him to arrange direct flights from Pokhara to various cities in China.

According to Pomnarayan Shrestha, chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council, the ambassador has also been asked to take particular steps to open the Korla border as soon as feasible. The meeting was attended by Motiraj Timalsina, Acting Chief of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality, Pawan Prajapati, President of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Overseas Chinese Nepal Association President, Secretary, and others.

It was informed on the occasion that they are also committed to making the Dragon Boat Race Festival, which is going to be held at Fewa Lake in Pokhara on June 22nd and 23rd, organized by the Chinese Embassy, on behalf of Pokharel tourism entrepreneur.
