Prime Minister Dahal to be officially inaugurate the Maulakali cable car on May 1st

KATHMANDU, April 24:The Maulakali Cable Car will be operational from May 1st (18th Baisakh).

The cable car, which was finished at Gaidakot 1 in the Nawalpur district, was tested on April 14th. On May 1st, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will formally inaugurated the cable car.

The construction of Maulakali cable car, which is the main investment of IME Group, was started last year.  The 1.2-kilometer cable car ride from Gaidakot 1 to Maulakali Temple has 12 gondolas.By cable car, it takes around 5 minutes to go from the bottom station to the top station.

The functioning of the cable car would make it easier for devotees who visit Maulakali for darshan and puja.

At the cable car's higher station, a 60-room hotel with amenities, a guest hall, and a restaurant will be open.

According to Maulakali Cable Car Pvt Ltd, even if the cable car is operating, it will take several months to operate the hotel.

More than two billion rupees have been invested in the project, which will significantly contribute to the tourism infrastructure of Nawalpur and Chitwan districts.

IME Group's main investment is the construction of a new tourist destination with a cable car in Chandragiri, Kathmandu.

Similarly, another cable car project promoted by Lumbini cable car Pvt Ltd, which is the main investment of this group, is under construction from Butwal Bazar in Rupandehi District to Basantpur in Palpa. The company said that the cable car project will also be operational from the end of this month.

With the investment of IME Group, major and exemplary tourism infrastructures are under construction in all the seven provinces.investment.
