Chinese tourists to Bandipur

KATHMANDU, April 21:Chinese tourists have arrived in Tanahun's tourist town of Bandipur. Chinese tourists visited Bandipur for the first time in three years, after the arrival of Chinese tourists was halted in March following the outbreak of Covid-19.

Hoteliers are ecstatic about the long-awaited arrival of Chinese tourists in Bandipur. According to Vaish Gurung, owner of Hotel Himalaya Darbar, Chinese tourists have arrived in Bandipur for the first time since Corona.

'Chinese visitors did not come to Nepal after Corona, but there were more Chinese tourists among foreigners in Bandipur before Corona,' Gurung added.

He stated that people visit Bandipur even if they only stay one night on their route to Pokhara after leaving Kathmandu. "Half of the tourists who came to Bandipur are planning to visit Pokhara and Kathmandu," Gurung said.

Bandipur is currently teeming with foreign visitors from many countries.

Nepal has also been added to China's list of nations that visitors can visit from February 1. Kisan Pradhan, proprietor of Hotel Heritage and president of the Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, stated that tourism in Bandipur is gradually returning to normal.

Bandipur is reached after an eight-kilometer uphill trip from Damauli's headquarters. From here, one may see beautiful snow mountain ranges, mountains, and hills.

There are 77 small and large hotels in Bandipur that are members of the hotel association. Houses built in the Bhaktapur style, Tundikhel, Thanimai, Tindhara, Ranivan, Ramkot, Sunakhari, Khaddevi Temple, Vindhyavasini Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Information Center, and other locations have become popular tourist destinations.
