More than 700 climbers granted Permission to Climb mountain this Season

KATHMANDU, April 18:More than 700 climber have taken permission to climb the mountain this spring season.

According to the Department of Tourism, 743 climber have taken permission to climb 23 mountains till April 16, 2023. Permission has been granted to 584 men and 159 women in 85 teams.

Tourists from 75 nations have applied for permission to climb the mountain this season, according to the department. So far, 319 travelers from 56 nations have obtained authorization to climb Mount Everest. There are 54 women and 265 males in this group.

Lhotse has been climbed by 61 climbers, and Annapurna has been climbed by 54 climbers. Similarly, clearance has been granted to 49 climbers for Amadablam, 42 climbers for Makalu, 42 climbers for Kanchenjunga, and 30 climbers for Dhaulagiri.  They are taking permission to climb various mountains including these.

524.2 million rupees worth of royalty has been collected from those who have taken permission to climb the mountain.
