CAAN requested clarification from NAC's executive chairman on three concerns

KATHMANDU, April 18:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has requested clarification from Yuvaraj Adhikari, executive chairman of Nepal Airlines, on three points. The CAAN has requested a three-day explanation for the failure to meet official commitments.

According to the order of March 31st, the CAAN directed that the certificate be submitted to the Authority within seven days of receiving the training on April 3rd for non-compliance with the ramp safety protocol. The president of NAC came to the scope of explanation when the certificate did not arrive.

The CAAN has also requested an explanation for the appointment of Captain Uddhav Ghimire as operations director. The CAAN has also raised concerns over the suspension of chief pilot RK Sherchan, who was on the April 11 Kathmandu-Hong Kong-Kathmandu flight.

The CAAN has stated that taking action against the pilot during the trip will jeopardize flight safety.
