10,000 passengers boarded the Manakamana cable car on first day of new year

CHITWAN, April 18:On the first day of the Nepali New Year 2080, Friday, 10,000 people traveled from Chitwan Kurintar to Gorkha Mankamana Mandir through the Manakamana Cable Car run by Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd.

The company's director, Rajeshbabu Shrestha, stated that on the first day of the new year, approximately 10,000 passengers rode the Mankamana cable car to the Mankamana temple.

"We are excited by the significant presence of travelers on the first day of the new year," stated Director Shrestha. We are constructing a high-quality hotel for those who wish to spend the night at the Mankamana shrine." It is expected that the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting the Mankamana shrine would grow once the hotel opens.

According to him, the Manakamana cable car has carried 750,000 people as of the end of March. Manakamana Cable Car was established two and a half decades ago.
