NAC arrange ‘pocketless uniforms’ for its employees following complaints baggage vandalism

KATHMANDU, April 13:The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has asked its baggage handlers at Tribhuvan International Airport to wear uniforms with no pockets.

Following concerns about passengers' luggage being destroyed, the NAC has ordered pocketless uniforms for airport personnel.

According to NAC spokesperson Ramesh Paudel, personnel have been outfitted with pocketless clothing beginning today in order to improve baggage handling service.

On the luggage trolleys, bars and chains have been installed, luggage security personnel have been assigned, and a roof has been arranged to protect the luggage from rainwater. Similarly, the airport's baggage handling unit has been activated 24 hours a day to receive luggage complaints, according to the NAC.
