Chinese tourists came to visit Nepal by chartering plane

KATHMANDU, April 13: Chinese visitors who arrived in Nepal on the eve of Nepali New Year were greeted warmly at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song greeted the Chinese tourists with garlands.

This morning, 181 Chinese tourists arrived in Nepal on a Himalaya Airlines charter flight.

"It is a matter of happiness for us that so many tourists come to Nepal in one lot," said the department of tourism's director general, Homprasad Luitel. "That's why the minister, the ambassador, and we welcomed them at the airport." According to Luitel, 700 Chinese visitors will visit Nepal, with the first batch arriving today.

Panchebaza, a traditional Nepali instrument, was played to greet the visitors.Tourists held Nepalese and Chinese flags.
