Three Sherpa climbers missing at Mount Everest

KATHMANDU, April 12:Three Sherpa climber have gone missing at base camp of Mt Everest. They have gone missing since 9:30 a.m on Wednesday, according to Yuba raj Khatiwada, Director of department of tourism

Among the missing climbers are Da Chhiri Sherpa, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa, and Lakpa Rita Sherpa. They disappeared between the base camp and Camp One. A Simrik Air helicopter has been dispatched to assist in the search, according to the department,

A rescue team has also been sent by ground route to assist them. The construction of a road to facilitate the ascent of Everest and the transport of essential goods is currently underway. The missing Sherpa climbers are said to have been transporting the goods of their company's professional climbers.
