Arjun Chokhal elected President of FHEN, Gandaki

POKHARA, April 10:Arjun Chokhal, a hotel entrepreneur, has been unanimously elected president of the Federation of Hotel Entrepreneurs Nepal (FHEN), Gandaki Province.

On Saturday, its first general convention in Pokhara elected a 29-member executive committee. Durga Bilas Bhattarai electedsenior vice president, Hari Prasad Pandeya as vice president, Tulasi Gyawali as women vice president, and Devendra Lamsal as general secretary.

Likewise, Balkrishna Neure was elected deputy general secretary, Gopal Paudel treasurer and Prahlad Jung Marasini joint secretary. Its elected members are Mina Kumari Shrestha, Giri Bahadur Thapa, Tal Bahadur Kunwar, Kabita Basnet, Guna Devi Jugjali Chhetri, Nilesh Rajbhandari, Jiban Kumar Punmagar, Buddhi Sagar Paudel, Indudevi Shrestha, Kanchan Sharma Baral, Nishi Prasad Timilsina, Moti Krishna Upadhyay, Yamlal Sapkota, Bidur Dhungana, Tilak Prasad Tiwari and Prem Prasad Neupane.

The chosen executive committee will serve for three years. According to FHEN general secretary Lamsal, the federation has approximately 8,000 hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs as members.
