Paragliding test flight begins at Dhorpatan
DHORPATAN, April 09: A two-day paragliding test flight begins Friday in the Baglung district of Dhorpatan. According to Dhorpatan municipality, the test flight is underway at ward no-9 after receiving permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
According to Deputy Mayor Dhan Bahadur Kayat, a paragliding test flight is currently underway in order to launch a commercial paragliding service for tourism promotion. In the current fiscal year, the municipality has set aside Rs 300,000 for test flights. He stated that Dhorpatan is falling behind despite having enormous potentials, and that these potentials should be identified and promoted.
The test flight has been carried out by Blue Sky Paragliding Pvt Ltd Pokhara. On Friday, a test flight from Masindhara to Tallochour was successfully completed. He stated that paragliding would be done on a regular basis after obtaining permission from the CAAN following a successful test flight.
