Two passengers who were fighting on board are being held by police
KATHMANDU, April 07: The Metropolitan Police Circle Gaushala team arrested two passengers who got into an argument on the flying Buddha Air plane. The Tribhuvan Airport office turned over Durgalal Shrestha and Bimalbabu Shrestha to the police.
Gyanendra Bhul, information officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), said that the action was taken after the information about the scuffle during the flight of the plane came from the pilot.
The passenger was apprehended and taken to Gaushala Circle. "It has been reported that an altercation occurred between the two passengers," Bhul said. Based on the findings of the police investigation, action will be taken.
He stated that the CAAN is preparing to take action against those passengers in accordance with the Non-Military Aviation Act 2015 and the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, claiming that the fight on the Biratnagar-Kathmandu flight harmed flight safety.
If he is found guilty, he is informed that there is a system in place that prohibits him from flying for a period of time, as well as imprisonment and a fine.
He stated that legal action is required because such activities depress pilots and increase the risk of air accidents.
On Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., a fight broke out between two passengers who had unexpectedly sat together on Buddha Air flight 710 from Biratnagar to Kathmandu.
