Hyatt Place Kathmandu honors Earth Hour

Hyatt Place Kathmandu honors Earth Hour

KATHMANDU, April 02:On March 25, Hyatt Place Kathmandu turned off its lights for one hour to raise awareness of climate change in support of Earth Hour 2023. At 8:30 p.m. local time, the hotel turned off its lights along with millions of other locations to send a strong message about environmental awareness and action. All of the hotel's lights were dimmed or turned off, and candles lit up the public areas.

The hotel believes that even small actions can make a big difference and encourages everyone to participate in this global movement to protect the environment. All guests were encouraged to come to the lobby and participate in lighting candles with hotel colleagues before the lights were dimmed. A small reception was organized with a grazing menu featuring organic and local ingredients.

"We are passionate about delivering innovative guest experiences to all our guests and this is a great opportunity to redefine hospitality in a more sustainable way. We at Hyatt strongly support our 2030 Environmental Goals and believe that a healthy environment is important for all people to do their best. We are committed to advancing environmental action so that destinations around the world are vibrant for our guests, colleagues and communities." said Mr. Varun Talwar, General Manager of Hyatt Place Kathmandu.
