NATHM to be upgraded to tourism university: Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU, March 27: The Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) will be upgraded to a tourism university, according to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The Prime Minister Dahal announced that Natham, which has been producing skilled labor for the tourism industry for 50 years, will be upgraded to a university during a program held on Monday to celebrate NATHM's 50th golden jubilee.

It has previously been theoretically approved to turn NATHM into a university of tourism. "The institution will be strengthened by passing it from the parliament," said Dahal. Dahal directed that NATHM the process of being certified as a quality educational institution by the University Grants Commission and international organizations.

Prime Minister Dahal requested that foreign students be brought to NATHM to create a learning environment.

"In the first phase, we request that you develop an action plan to bring students from South Asia and then BIMSTEC countries," Dahal said, adding that "tourism is an important foundation of our economy." You should work to introduce Nepal through education.

Making the NATHM-operated incubation center effective is what Prime Minister Dahal was ordered to do in order to promote self-employment.
