Nepal Airlines' two female pilots flew an international flight

KATHMANDU, March 08: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has flown an international flight with two female pilots.

The flight was piloted by Bhawna Giri Pant and co-pilot Srijana Raut's team. On board the AirBus a320, all pilots, co-pilots, and air hostesses are female.

According to the NAC, all of the crew members on the plane that took off from the UAE for Kathmandu at 4:55 a.m. today were women.

The plane will touch down at Tribhuvan International Airport at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday. Basna Rana, Puranjak Maharjan, Sangeeta KC, and Anisha Prajapati are among the air hostesses.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Corporation flew an all-female crew. According to Ganesh Kumar Ghimire, Assistant Spokesperson for the Corporation, this is Nepal's first international flight with all female crew members.

"The entire flight crew had previously been active. 'However, not all female crew members served on the same plane,' he explained, adding, 'The Corporation has provided this opportunity on Women's Day.'
