Damodar Nepal elected as president of Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneur Association Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 03:Damodar Nepal has been unanimously elected as the President of Hotel and Tourism Professionals Association of Nepal, Bagmati Province.

The second session of the association held in Chitlang of Bagmati province on Wednesday elected Nepal as the president unanimously. The newly elected president of Nepal was previously the general secretary of the association.

Similarly, Shyam Kumar (Bhalu) Shrestha was elected as the senior vice president of the association, Nipu Sarap and Rajkumar Shrestha were elected as the first vice president and second vice president.

According to the election committee, Rajkumar Payakurel was elected as the general secretary of the association.

Similarly, Rajendra Kumar Tia has been elected as Secretary, Joint Secretary - Harigopal Sapkota, Shekharman Shrestha as Treasurer and Vinod Lamichhane as Joint Treasurer.

Among the other members, Ram Sharan Nepal, Amrit Bahadur Shrestha, Hom Bahadur Shrestha, Sunil Aryal, Lalitjung Singh, Santosh Ghale, Namraj Maratha, Kalpana Paudel, Sudip Devkota and Rajan Bhatt have been selected. The working committee members along with all the central officials were unanimously elected.

According to the constitution, the central working committee of the association will consist of 21 members. Out of which three members will be nominated by the elected working committee, two members have been nominated immediately and one member is yet to be nominated, President Nepal said.

The tenure of the newly elected working committee will be three years.
