Guna Airlines to sells five Jetstream aircraft

KATHMANDU, Feb 20:Guna Airlines is going to sells five aircraft of the 'Jetstream-41' (J-41) series with a capacity of 30 seats.

Guna currently has seven aircraft including five Jetstreams and two Witchcraft-1900s. In which there are five jet stream aircraft bought from Yeti Airlines and two old Beechcraft aircraft from Simrik Airlines.

Guna Airlines spokesperson Prajwal Thapa said that they are going to sell five of the planes they bought from Yeti.

Guna Airlines is currently flying to Pokhara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bharatpur, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Surkhet and other destinations.

Guna Airlines stopped all flights to Guna a week ago.

On Monday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) canceled all flights saying that the pilots and staff were not paid on time.

The airline has 29 pilots and crew members. Due to non-payment of salaries to pilots and employees on time, flight safety was seriously affected and all flights were cancelled.

Guna Airlines started flying again from 2021 with an investment of one billion.
