Jazeera Airways to resume flights to Bhairahawa from March 9

 

KATHMANDU, Feb 19:Jazeera Airways will resume flights at Gautam Buddha International Airport from March.

The company, which stopped the flight due to bad weather, will start the flight from the March 9.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has said that Jazeera Airways will not fly immediately as the weather is not yet clear at night. Jagannath Niraula, the spokesperson of the CAAN, said that the flight schedule was not taken due to the weather.

Due to the non-operation of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the Gautam Buddha International Airport, a situation has arisen where aircraft cannot land due to bad weather. The authority has been saying that diplomatic initiative with India is necessary for ILS connection.

Jazeera Airways used to fly at night. At that time, the weather had not yet cleared,'' Gyanendra Bhul, dy manager of the flight permit branch,, said, 'It was said to fly on February  2. It has been decided not to fly at risk because the weather is not clear.

Bhul said that the authority also suggested that it would be suitable to fly as soon as the weather clears. He said that due to the recent plane crash in Pokhara, it is not suitable to fly in bad weather conditions.
