Nepali plane should fly for at least 15 hours : Tourism Minister Kirati

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati has said that Nepalese planes should fly for at least 15 hours. On Monday, he told the media at the Biratnagar airport that the plane should operate for at least 15 hours a day.

"Our planes must operate for a minimum of 15 hours daily. Our institute should be profitable. "I can't sit by watching Nepal Airlines sink," he said. He says that he has no information about buying a new plane.

He said that the airport built in Nepal should be fully operational and an action plan is being demanded for that.

He said that he is monitoring based on the action plan. Minister Kirati said that the ministry is ready to support politically.

"I take the initiative politically. What is the airport based on? Bring a business plan. The structure built with the investment of billions was not heated by the sun," he said.

He said that the diplomatic initiatives of international flights and routes have been started. Saying that there are some practical problems now, he held that they should be improved.
