Ministry of Tourism collects Rs 3 lakh in donations
KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has collected Rs.3 lakh from donations.
Minister Sudan Kirati announced that he would not use food, garlands and bouquets from the day he assumed office as a minister, and kept the aid box with the announcement that he would instead collect aid money and support education in remote areas.
Rajan Rai, the press coordinator of Minister Kirati, said that an estimated three lakhs have been collected in the support box kept in the ministry.
Minister Kirati said that the money will be used to support education in remote areas.
Likewise, Minister Kirati also said that a Facebook page called 'E-Postal Service' has been launched to collecting suggestions and public complaints. He also asked for suggestions to operate the ministry according to the country's relativity.
